BSCB Neglect (2 Day Event)

It is a requirement that you have attended either the BSCB's ‘Working Together’ or ‘Everyone’s Responsibility’ course before attending this course.
Aims: To raise awareness of the effect of neglect on children’s development
- To discuss the effects of neglect on children’s development
- To consider how parental mental ill health, domestic abuse and substance misuse can affect parenting capacity and lead to neglect.
- To discuss how to assess neglect, this will include an overview of the Graded Care Profile.
- To identify how to respond to cases of neglect
Intended for: Members of staff, from all disciplines, who have had the introduction to child protection training within their own agencies and have attended the ‘Working Together’ or ‘Everyone’s Responsibility’ course.
